General Information


Booking

Once you have made your booking, either directly via our website or via one of our partners, you will receive a confirmation from us. If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours please check your spam or contact us to check doirectly. Payment will be made according to the credit card details you provided at the time of booking. Please note bookings made via i-Escapes require you to pay them 15% of the cost of your stay at the time of booking. All reservations made via Booking.com will be be settled through Booking.com.

Cancellations

Please note that cancellation policy can vary depending on which rate you booked with. If you need to change your booking or cancel your reservation, please be sure to do it within the proper time frame so that you don’t face any penalties or charges.

Breakfasts

Due to the Covid situation & regulations, we have sadly had to change our approach to breakfasts. From 2022 we will no longer be offering our guests breakfast. We do hope that you understand and appreciate this approach. We would however recommend the Gradska Kavana, just 2min stroll from The Byron. There is outside seating on the terraces and they serve from 8am through to 11am daily.

Parking

We now have secured the use of a garage next to the fire station, just 2mins walk from the Buza gate. Entry is via secure keypad and you will be sent the code ahead of your arrival. If you would like to book the garage the fee is Euro 50 per day, payable in cash on arrival. As a comparison, the public town carpark next to Buza is Euro 220 per day and the Hilton Hotel is 120 per day for non guests.

Housekeeping

The rooms will be cleaned and made up daily upon request. Otherwise, nobody will enter your room without your permission. Please hang the Clean My Room sign on your door before 10:00am so that our staff know they can enter. Cleaning is available between 10:00am - 12 noon.

Smoking

The Byron is strictly non-smoking

Check in / Check out

Check in is generally 4pm on your day of arrival and check out is 10am, however we will do our very best to be flexible if you are arriving early or wish to leave later. Please let us know at the time of booking.

Directions

Once you have a confirmed booking we will send you more detailed instructions on how to reach The Byron and what to expect when you arrive at the city walls.

Transfers to the Old Town

There are a lots of options available depending on where you are coming from. Most of our guests arrive from Dubrovnik airport and we will happily arrange for a car to collect you and bring you to the Old Town. If you are coming from Gruz port or further afield just let us know and we can help with the travel arrangements.

Guided tours

We work with some great local guides and can arrange tours for you. These can include both the history of Dubrovnik and information about it’s more recent role in the Game of Thrones.

Restaurants

We will constantly update our guide of our favourite restaurants. If you would like us to make reservations for you or you have a particular restaurant you would like to visit during your stay just let us know.

Pets

We love animals, but understand that some people don't so we unfortunately we do not allow pets at The Byron. Guide dogs are the exception, please contact us and let us know in advance.

Wi-Fi and Internet

We provide free Wi-Fi Internet connections for our guests, but this is subject to local signal strength and atmospheric conditions which can adversely affect connection and are outside our control. We shall not be liable for any failure or unavailability of the Wi-Fi Internet signal or connection.

If guests use our free Wi-Fi internet connection, they are solely responsible for complying with all relevant laws and ensuring that no computer or software virus, inappropriate or illegal material, is accessed or downloaded, and we shall be fully indemnified by any guest using our Wi-Fi internet service against any computer or software virus which is downloaded and damages our software, systems or hardware, and against any other consequences of the accessing or downloading of inappropriate or illegal material. It is the sole responsibility of each guest to ensure that any parental locks or other restrictions are in place, and we cannot accept any responsibility for any inappropriate access or use of the Internet by children or others.

Falsified bookings

Any booking obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
